Golden Nugget Loquat tree is a grafted specimen and is self-fertile. Having a pollinator is not required but can enhance fruit production. The Golden Nugget Loquat trees typically produce its large crops of loquats around April. The Golden Nugget Loquat trees fruit is firm to touch and the orange flesh is juicy, sweet, and somewhat  of a hint of apricot in taste. This particular loquat tree is not as cold hardy as some of its other relative cultivars so it should be grown well into the southern parts of North America unless special considerations for growing can be met, (USDA Zones 9-11)
